Treganoon Bed & Breakfast

About Us

Treganoon House is a rural Victorian Farmhouse, once the largest farm in the Parish, but over the years bits of land and barns have been sold off. What remains is a lovely old granite home surrounded by fields. In 2013 we took it on and have slowly been restoring it, whilst establishing a small holding in the surrounding 5 acres – Grand Designs meets The Good Life.

We have spent the past ten years renovating the house & restoring the land, creating our family home and providing a lovely rural location for our guests to enjoy. We have four guest rooms available, offering a choice of sleeping arrangements, ensuring that there is something that suits everyone.

Our Story

Sara & Kevin fell in love with Cornwall, and each other, over 20 years ago. Both have a professional background in community and project development and a keen interest in regenerative living, so when the opportunity to take on a dilapidated farmhouse and several acres of land arrived they couldn’t believe their luck. Ten years later, with much blood, sweat and tears, the house is renovated and the land is slowly being transformed into a climate-resilient, food producing haven for humans and wildlife.

Fruit & Veg

We grow fruit & veg year round, eating, preserving and freezing what we need, selling the rest to visitors and through our local chop. We have volunteers from around the world helping us improve productivity, biodiversity and soil quality.

Woodland

In 2014 we planted 1700 native woodland saplings, today they’re now young trees, helping cut our carbon, provide habitat for insects, birds and mammals, food for our bees and timber for us.

Off grid living

We’re are fortunate enough to have our own, crystal clear water supply and are gradually installing renewable technologies so that we eventually become self sufficient.
